Amit G. Gupta, M.D.

After studying molecular biology at John Hopkins University, Dr. Gupta went on to complete his medical degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Gupta then made the move to New Haven, Connecticut to complete two fellowships from Yale University School of Medicine. His first fellowship was for CT, MRI and Ultrasound; his second was for interventional radiology. Dr. Gupta has been board certified by the American Board of Radiology since 1996, and has been an Acumen team member since 1997.

Dr. Gupta enjoys a challenge, and he had a goal set in his mind while attending these prestigious schools. He states his training was fun, and learning new things was highly motivating. Attending these schools gave him the opportunity to participate in research on the cutting edge.

Dr. Gupta was inspired to become a radiologist because of his in-depth knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology. Dr. Gupta chose a subspecialty in interventional radiology so he could diagnose and treat diseases in every organ system using the least invasive techniques.
